Seoul - Girl Band asal Korea, Girls Generation (SNSD) kembali meluncurkan video klip dan album terbarunya "The Boys". Album dan Video klip tersebut dibuat dalam dua versi, yaitu versi bahasa Inggris dan versi bahasa Korea. Video klip ini menampilkan 15 detik berturut-turut penampilan dan tarian khas SNSD.

Salah satu lirik lagu tersebut berbunyi, "Gadis mengajak jalan dan mereka ingin mengajak kamu berdansa sekarang". Dalam video itu, grup yang beranggotakan Taeyeon, Jessica, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona, dan Seohyun, menggunakan pakaian hitam putih bergaya maskulin dengan dasi dan topi.

Album "The Boys" merupakan album ketiga Girls Generation yang diluncurkan pada 19 Oktober 2011. Komposisi dan lirik lagu the boys diciptakan oleh Teddy Riley, yang pernah memproduseri Michael Jackson.

Pertama kali muncul di tahun 2007, disebuah acara bernama M. Net's School of Rock, Girls Generation atau yang memiliki nama Korea Sonyeo Sidae ini membawakan lagu pertama mereka "Into The New World". Perjuangan awal mereka meniti karir didokumentasikan dalam sebuah reality show yang diberi judul M.Net's Girls Go To School.

Dokumentarisasi ini bercerita bagaimana perjuangan anggota girl band ini pada awal meniti karir. Mereka harus menyewa sebuah apartemen kecil, dengan satu kamar mandi yang harus dibagi bersama 9 anggotanya. Tahun 2009 dewi fortuna berpihak pada girl band ini. Lagu-lagu mereka seperti Gee dan Genie langsung melejit di pasar asia maupun eropa.
